Waiting

One of my favorite Bible Verses is

Isaiah 40:31:

"They that wait upon the Lord

shall renew their strength,

they shall soar on wings like eagles"

It seems to me that so much of our time here on earth is spent waiting.

• waiting in line
• waiting at traffic lights
• waiting to hear back from people

and the most difficult

• waiting for answers to prayer.

The New International Version of the Bible uses the word "hope" in place of

"wait". I guess it means that while I am waiting on the Lord,

I am not to lose hope.

Dear Lord - help me as I wait on You, to have un-wavering faith,

knowing that You are the one who promises and is faithful.

Your timing is perfect and I will find my rest in You.
