ok - I never shared Part 1, but since we are well
into the New Year and my emotions are JUST
catching up with me.....
This morning I began the preparations for
the Adventure Family Gathering. (my husband's
family holiday party)
As I started cooking, I pulled out the following
from my cookbook cupboard:
A letter to my Mom from my cousin
A letter from my Aunt Mary to my Mom,
thanking her for loaning her money.
A plaque from my Grandma that was given
to me at my wedding shower 36 years ago.
I already was EMOTIONAL before I started
looking through this cupboard because I have
been trying to think about how to express
to my 3 sister-in-laws how much their love
and acceptance means to me. (we exchange
gifts today) So, when I came upon all these
items, it was the straw that broke the camel's
back, and now I need to compose myself so
I can cook food and wrap gifts this morning.
So, my friends, now that I have shared my
story, I must return to the tasks of the
morning, but not before I remind you all
to give thanks to the LORD for your blessings
this day. Life goes so quickly -
Here is the prayer from the plaque from my
gram:
Bless my little kitchen Lord,
And light it with thy love.
May the food that I prepare
Be seasoned from Above.
The service I am trying to do
Is to make my family content.
So bless my eager effort Lord
And make them Heaven sent.
