We often sing the song "As the Deer" in our worship services.

Tonight, as I think about the last day of summer, I feel pretty tired, mostly because

we have been trying to squeeze every fun moment out of summer.

Maybe I would not be quite so worn out if I had spent more of this summer

panting after the Lord, and the perfect rest that He gives to those who come to Him.

Isaiah 63:14 says: Like the cattle that go down into a peaceful valley,

(to find better pasture, refuge and rest) the spirit of the LORD caused

them to rest.
